These scams typically encompass unsolicited calls and counterfeit websites mimicking trusted companies such as Dell and Microsoft.

In a March 2020 episode of the British documentary series Panorama, Browning and fellow YouTuber Karl Rock exposed a significant technical support scam operation located in Gurugram, India. They utilized drones and CCTV cameras to document the facility and collect evidence linking Amit Chauhan, the alleged mastermind behind the scam, who also operated a fraudulent travel agency named “Faremart Travels.” Their findings revealed that these scams specifically targeted vulnerable individuals in the UK and the US. Chauhan, in a private meeting, displayed a complete disregard for their victims, stating, “We don’t care about our customers.”
Additionally, undercover recordings captured Chauhan’s agents mocking a depressed British man and deceiving a visually impaired woman with diabetes. Despite Chauhan’s denial, both he and his accountant, Sumit Kumar, were apprehended during a raid.
