Born on March 20, 1984, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA, Justine had a passion for technology from a young age. Justine’s father, Steve Ezarik, was a coal miner in Slovak and her mother, Michelle Ezarik, was a physical education teacher. She grew up with her two younger sisters Breanne Ezarik and Jenna Ezarik.

Justin completed high school in 2002 at Bentworth High School, in Washington County, Pennsylvania. She then attended Pittsburgh Technical Institute, where she studied graphic design & video editing and eventually earned a degree in the field in 2004.

On 6 May 2006, Justine established a YouTube channel named iJustine, by that time, she was also doing some graphic design and video editing jobs. In December of the same year, she was selected as one of the top five performers in the “Yahoo Talent Show,” a competition hosted by Yahoo! for the greatest web films, and later in 2007 she became the occasional co-host of the internet TV show MacBreak and MacBreak Weekly with Leo Laporte.
